Intercom all working ...  although later ANR (Noise Reduction) system is going to be fitted.

NBC Unit Goes in.... !!

NBC  (Nuclear, Biological and Chemical)  unit finally back in.

The NBC unit is a filter pack for protection against chemical gas, biological agents and radioactive particles.

Turret Interior Progressing Well

Turret Basket installed....  RBJ Installed....  Gunners Seat Installed.

RBJ (Rotary Base Joint) Repaired

The RBJ....  provides an Electrical link between the body of the vehicle and the rotatable Turret.   On mine the one of the connectors on the base of the unit had corroded badly due to being under water for a few years.  

Luckily, when I removed the cover, the interior of the unit looked fine.  I have replaced the 4 pin socket ( charging supply to the Turret Batteries )

Continuity of all the connections checked and confirmed ....  OK  !!

Faulty Gearbox Replaced

Big Job.... The Faulty Gearbox finally replaced.  This box appeared to work OK but had a noisy bearing....  suspect something to do with the clutch.

"New" box fitted along with the New Radiator.    Took me about 4 days ...  all by myself !!
